Dental Implants prices in Newcastle
This page publishes no price, and that is deliberate. What implant treatment costs depends on how many teeth are involved, what preparatory work is found to be needed and which components are used, and only a practice that has assessed you can put a total on it. We do not know what yours would cost, and neither does anyone who has not assessed you.

The reason is a rule rather than a preference. Advertising for a regulated health service in Australia must not carry price information that is unclear, inexact or vague, and must not state an instalment amount without the total cost it is a condition of. A band we could not stand behind would fall foul of that, and a weekly figure quoted on its own would too. So we publish neither, rather than publishing something that looks helpful and is not.
Who pays is the other half of the picture. The Medicare Benefits Schedule lists the placement of an osseointegrated fixture as item 75610, within its cleft and craniofacial services and only on referral from a dentist or medical practitioner, so ask whether any Medicare item applies to you. Private cover is set by each insurer: the Australian Government’s private health site says waiting periods for general dental generally run from two to six months. Public dental care in Hunter New England is for adults with a valid Medicare card and an Australian Government concession card, and its listed services are emergency care, check ups, general treatment, preventative treatment, prosthetics and dentures; it does not name implants.
Then there is the cost of getting to each appointment. Treatment is not a single visit, and in the City of Newcastle the council’s parking page gives the hourly rate in its 1P, 2P, 4P and 8P areas as $5.70 (read 25 September 2026), with parking free and unrestricted outside the signed times. Lake Macquarie City Council sets its own timed parking; it adopted an area-based scheme for Charlestown on 22 July 2024.
How you get a real figure
A dental practice assesses you and quotes you. What you should ask for, in writing, is four things: the total for the treatment being proposed rather than a per-item or per-week figure; what that total excludes, naming imaging, preparatory work, the components and follow-up appointments; whether any preparatory work is anticipated and what it would add; and, if finance is offered, the total the repayments are calculated on. A practice that answers those four plainly is telling you something useful about how it works, whatever the figures turn out to be.
