Where we work

The list was fixed before any of this site was written. All 148 suburbs and localities in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie statistical area were listed first from Australian Bureau of Statistics boundary files, and the seven were chosen from that full field rather than from a guess about which names sounded right. The Junction was folded into Merewether's page rather than given one of its own, because it is small enough that a separate page would have been the same page with a different name at the top.

Which areas the market already names

Of the six practices holding page one for dental implants in Newcastle, all name Newcastle itself. One names Charlestown and Warners Bay on the same page. One carries Belmont in its page addresses. One is located in Cooks Hill. Merewether and Wallsend are named by none of them — and Wallsend is the largest of our seven by population in the 2021 census. That is an observation about their marketing, not a claim about demand, which we have no way to measure.

Distance is worth weighing

Implant treatment is not a single appointment at any tier, so the practice you choose is a trip you will make more than once. The businesses ranking for the Newcastle term are concentrated in a few places — the city centre, Broadmeadow, Charlestown and Cooks Hill — rather than spread evenly across the region. From Wallsend or Belmont that is a longer run than from Cooks Hill or the centre. It is a fair question to put to a practice at the first conversation: how many visits, over what period.
